The Board of Directors of the SEM consists of twelve directors, of whom:
two are stockbrokers elected by the shareholders;
seven directors are elected by the shareholders;
three directors, which include a representative of listed companies and a representative of investors, are appointed by the Minister of Financial Services on a yearly basis.
The Board may, at its discretion, delegate its powers to the Chairman or to any sub-committee constituted by it, upon such terms and conditions and with such restrictions as it thinks expedient.
