Group structure of the SEM

The Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd holds 51% of the Ordinary share capital of the Central Depository & Settlement Co. Ltd (CDS). The CDS's core business is to provide centralised depository, clearing and settlement services to securities markets.

The Securities (Central Depository, Clearing and Settlement) Act 1996 provides the legal framework for the operations of the CDS. The CDS is guided in its day-to-day activities by its Rules and Procedures. The Board of Directors of the CDS Ltd is composed of 15 Members, out of which eight are nominated by the Board of Directors of the SEM Ltd.
